Book Assignment #2

Well I hope that you are all having a GREAT SUMMER Break & enjoying your books!!!  Well, its about that time again for you all to turn in your assignments on July 19, (by the way that is my oldest brothers B-day, just a little side note).  We will be starting our 2nd book of the summer called No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy.  You will have the rest of the summer to read & take notes on this book. Please Do NOT See the Movie, we will be doing an assignment with the movie during the first week of school. If you have already seen the movie that sucks cuz the books are always better than the movies. So you all need to be prepared to talk about No Country for Old Men ( the book) in August when school starts up again.  Mr. Ilac & I are going to be correcting your book #1 assignments when I get back from N.Y. at the end of the month. I will post your grades of the assignments as well as have them ready for you to collect from me on the first day of school.  I wish you the best of luck on your last week to finish your assignment. Summer Book #1 Assignment

I hope you are all having a great summer break! For your summer book #1 assignment you will have two options and I will give them both to you.

Option #1

Make a 32 page comic book of your requested book. You can use cut outs from magazines or your own artwork. The comic book has to have a minimum of 32 pages with dialogue bubbles/boxes, Cover with title, illustration and author. (see example)

Option #2

Design a blog/website or advertisement pamphlet for your requested book. You will need to have the following: Synopsis of author, Character bio's, plot, setting and Chapter synopsis. If you select blog/website you will have to mail me (no e-mail) your web address

Both assignment will need to be mailed to the following address no later than July 19th :

I found this illustration of Snowman from the web that a individual drew to support the novel. Enjoy their interpretation, which I would have to say is a little better than mine. :)

Why is Snowman isolating himself? Why does he refer to the people as"crakers"? Who are the Corpsecorps men and what do they do? Snow man feels someone is watching him, could this be true?
